Our Promise to You
At Mid-Jersey Knights Field Hockey Club we believe that field hockey should be for everyone. No matter your age, experience, ethnicity, or background you're welcome to be a member of our club if we feel that we can help you. We are open to any and all.
As a Knight, we want you to enjoy the best possible coaching in a professional, fun environment. We can't promise that you'll make the national team (you might though) but we can promise that you will improve your hockey and make friends with people that share the same values as you do. We're a family - and we want you to be part of that.

Our Beliefs and Expectations
If you're invited to be a member of our club you're expected to behave in a professional and respectful manner whenever you are representing our club. That includes, but is not limited to, respect of: team-mates, opponents, officials, coaches, parents and spectators. This same level of respect is also expected of friends and family of our club members. Failure to do by players or their family may result in disciplinary proceedings and could result in expulsion of the club. This is exclusively at the discretion of club representatives.
Membership Criteria
All club members must adhere to the club policy. This includes, but is not limited to:
- Full and timely payment of club dues. Please note: we understand that hockey can be expensive, especially if you have more than one child, but we don't want that to prohibit boys and girls from enjoying this great sport. If you're not in a position to pay the full season's cost up-front just speak to us in confidentiality and we can arrange to spread the payments over the season.
- Each new member of the club must attend a welcome session. However, if you can't make one of our official "welcome" dates you are more than welcome to take part in one of our training sessions and pay the $40 fee. This will count as your official welcome session.
- Equipment. Everyone must have their own indoor/outdoor field hockey stick, mouth-guard and shin-guards. These MUST be brought to each training session/tournament/match. Failure to do so will mean the individual is unable to play.
- Uniforms. If you are accepted as a member of Knights FHC and decide to join us you must purchase an official Nike Mid-Jersey Knights uniform. These must be paid for in advance and payment is non-refundable.
- Training/practice. We want people to train and we want them to get better. We also want players to respect their coaches, team mates and themselves by being on-time and reliable. As a member of Mid-Jersey Knights FHC you are expected to attend all training sessions that are offered to you. If you are a no-show at more than three of these sessions without good reason Mid-Jersey Knights FHC reserves the right to terminate your club membership and you will not be eligible for any refund of dues paid.
- Tournaments. As a member of the club you are guaranteed the opportunity for participation in at least three tournaments over each season (winter[indoor], spring, summer). If you cannot make one of the tournaments offered we cannot guarantee another will be offered in its place. Failure to attend a tournament without giving proper notice could result in the termination of your club membership.
